Hello Again!!

Buenos Diaz my delightful readers!
I'm back and ready to report, finals are finally over, and we can all breathe a sigh of relief, or can we? There are always the few amoung us who find joy in contemplating their doom. I for one do not condone such behavior, and just move forward, since there is nothing more you can do about it.

Winter Formal was this past Thursday night and it was absolutely fantabulous!! Yes, the decor could have been better, but over all it was a splendid night. A biggest disappointment of the evening was that the hot air balloon rides were cancelled! Such bad luck for us that it was windy during the dance, and not to mention my group was next in line! Dancing all night is veryvery tiring, although dancing your cares away is so nice after finals. I think for everyone who did go, it was a good release. Oh I almost forgot to say that everyone looked stunning in their dresses, its fun to see the people you hang out with everyday all dressed up and dolled up for the occasion.

Of course the next day is meant for sleeping off the previous night, but I planned a semi early movie with IngridGiselle, Misudarling and ChompyCharpie. We saw Avatar in IMAX 3D, and yes it makes a HUGE difference! The graphics were amazing once again, and everything looked a million times more real, and sometimes it felt like you were standing behing the Navi people. The war was also much more epic in IMAX 3D, shocker right? Well after we got out of Avatar we headed over to The Veggie Grill for some lunch. The sweet potato fries were like always delish, and the chicken wings were yummy too. Although, my absolute favorite things from there are the sauces. To follow our delish meal, IngridGiselle and I went to go raid Urban Outfitters and we scored some amazing deals! This including a rather spectacular dress, goodness I just adore it!! Not to mention me and IngridGiselle are now the proud owners of a Holga camera, and the promise of swapping clothes// dresses <3. Soul sisters forever! After sifting through UO for almost 2 hours, we went to rejoin Misudarling and ChompyCharpie for some H&M action. There, I got a pair of red tights, that i have been wanting for AGES, and NOT just because of Selena Gomez. There are other muses in my desire for the red tights.

After all of my shopping madness I went out with my dad to target and dinner. At target I bought a stack of movies. I LOVE//ADORE//HOARDE movies. They are brilliant and are a great escape for anytime. I also bought valentines for you lovely darlings, so be expecting lots of candy and cuteness! For dinner my dad and I went to Diamond plaza for Japanese food and crepes. It was the best and so delicious. The crepes hit the spot since I had been craving them, along with waffles.

The day after was pretty mellow until about 6 which was when I went out to go see Annie. Annie was fantastic, and our seats were amazing. Second row and we didn't have to look up to the stage, it was perfect. Although, the lady in front of me had rather large hair, bad luck for me I suppose. The actors and actresses all fit their roles very well, but I felt that annie could have been more charismatic and cute. On another note, from second row you can see the actors spit, and the funny microphones atop of their heads, quite amusing if I say so myself.

Returning home, I was swept up in a flurry of confusion, frustration, and happiness. A strange combo I know, but i came home to 2 people missing and 3 veryvery confused. In the end it was all mostly sorted out, but to say the least the drama in our lives is back. Oh, but this time, I'm not in the middle of it!

Weekending 2/10

Good Afternoon my darling readers.
It's Saturday and time for my weekly weekending post, but this week we haven't been so fortunate as to have a significant week.
It has mainly been a week to relax and recoup , also finals are creeping upon us. Because of this, i will not be having much worth while to write about and not be blogging as much. Although once finals are over, you know that means Winter Formal and After finals parties. We'll see what we can stir up then. ;)

As you hopefully know, today is things I love Thursday!! <3
So let us just begin with all of the lovely things I find myself in love with for the week.

Today was a Turpid Tuesday

Oh my goodness gracious.
Today was very very off for me. Everything has been about upside down for me today. To start off, I fell asleep at about 1:15 am while on my laptop {in my bed} trying to send my portfolio to myself so that i can go to The Howler today and try for a photographer position. I didn't even know i was asleep until, the next thing I know its' 6:26 am my alarm had just turned on and I was just waking up. First off I acted like a maniac checking to see if i had pushed my laptop off my bed {thank goodness i didn't}. Then, I wanted to see if my portfolio had made it through {it had but i couldn't check due to my laptop running out of batteries} and also it was 6:26 in the morning. I was in no condition for all this self-induced commotion. After debating sleeping more or just getting up, plugging my laptop in, and getting ready, I chose to sleep. 7:18 am and I'm up again, now with the crunch of having to get ready in at least 10 minutes. To say the least this caused me to forget my glasses, not eat enough, and have slightly random shoes. {Last minute I decided to change my entire outfit that I had planned the night before. GENIUS I KNOW!!}

After all of that, today during tutorial, there must have been a BILLION bees! so of course, this happens on a day when I wear my yellow AA jacket {which i love even though it attracts bees of all sorts. or is it because I'm sweet like honey? haha}. I happen to hate bees. Although, i will not kill them, we still need them and i respect how much they help the earth.

Fast forwarding to about lunchtime, I start going into a mad panic because Janicedear and Tinadear were BOTH not there. It was scary and strange and veryvery unpleasantly different. I started to worry about all sorts of things, especially because i had not known that Janicedear was only missing because she had been off getting braces on her lovely smile. Tinadear is of course off in the East, getting interviewed for boarding school. Not only that, I followed all that more panic with a horrible math team test. Just horrid. Nothing more is needed.

Quite possibly, the only thing that could have saved my day was going into The Howler today and getting many good comments about my photos, and possibly a position as a photographer! Yet it was still extremely awkward seeing everyone crowded around the computer viewing my photos and having Shane interview me{only because he's usually such a goofball in the classes we have together}.

Oh but of course, school does not mark the end of your day. There are still those few hours between school and sleep where there is homework and chatting, and today Allen sent me a link to a really fantastic flickr. Of course seeing this just made me feel uber inferior, and knowing that the photographer is a straight A student and only a junior, makes it so much worse.

I'll get over it though. Owl city is currently healing me over. I just realized that many times when I blog I listen to the amazing Owl City, or music of a happier tone haha.

Serendipity Sunday no.1

Good Afternoon my lovelies!
Today is Serendipity Sunday and as you know, a photo blog day.
The reason why its called Serendipity Sunday is because I love the word serendipity! For those of you who don't know what in the world serendipity means, here is the lovely word:

ser·en·dip·i·ty

(sěr'ən-dĭp'ĭ-tē) n. pl. ser·en·dip·i·ties The faculty of making fortunate discoveries by accident. The fact or occurrence of such discoveries. An instance of making such a discovery.

That is basically it for the word, but whenever I think about it, I think of the ice cream parlor Serendipity in New York and Las Vegas. this of course meaning I think sweets and happiness. Weekending 1/10

First Weekending post!
This past week was the very very first week of the year, and it went by so quickly! I suppose it also helped that my teachers didn't push a huge amount of homework onto us, letting us ease back into the groove of things.
Im going to start off my summary at the beginning. The very absolute beginning, as in the new year.

On New Year's Eve, I spent the day with Misudarling dress shopping for Winter Formal dresses at Irvine Spectrum. I have to say that i was rather disappointed with the selection there, although i did find the most gorgeous dress at Windsor. ONLY to discover, that I'm too small for the smallest size of the dress, a 3 {oh my small and skinny physique does have it's disadvantages}. After that I went back home to ring in the New Year with my cousins and my absolute favorite aunt. We went to see Avatar, and got out just in time to count down to midnight in the theatre. following our small countdown we had a fully proper celebration at Denny's, haha eating ice cream and other scrumptious desserts.

Saturday was the day of my long awaited photoshoot with Tinadear!!
It had a great turnout, and everything went somewhat smoothly. I got many fantastic photos out of it {which are coming your way if you were one of the models :)} and im suuuuuuper glad i did it. Then afterwards, my family came to my house once again. Spending time with my cousins is always fun for me. Only this time around part of my step-dad's side of the family came along. they scare me, I'm not kidding about this. I think its just because they are more formal and i have issues approaching them.

Sunday, the day before school. It's kind of a blur to me right now...well at least i think it was just a day to relax, do homework and prepare for school. All that stuff.

Monday through Thursday held no significance, but over all i can say that it was fun and nice catching up with all my little darlings :)



So now Friday, oh my was this day a doozie. We had a BAKING EXTRAVAGANZA!! Every year one of my favorite, I mean absolute favorite, club at my school helps out with the snow event at the park by my house. Its very fun, and it's my favorite event of the YEAR!! For it, me, Mandadear and Tinadear all bake a MASSIVE amount of baked goods. This year though, Tinadear has boarding school interviews! {all the best of luck to your dearie, especially for andover, lots of lovee <3} So because of this, we needed to find more little darlings to come and help us. Thankfully Janicedear, Misudarling, and Chardoll all stepped up to the plate. We all had a blast baking together and just having fun. A night full of bonding and laughter, I'll always love those. We also concluded the night with 877 baked goods!

Saturday! The wondrous day of the event! Mandadear came over at 9 am and had to drag me out of my bed to continue baking. So then we did, with Misudarling and Chardoll joining us at 10 am. All fun and games but i suppose some took mine and Mandadear's word more to hear than intended, and to that i say im truly truly sorry. Its in our baking nature. To wrap up the morning was a GRAND, yes it is very grand indeed, total of 1022 baked goods! With no time to dilly dally at home, we were off to the park. The event was pretty fun this year, I really love helping the little kids and seeing the looks they have on their faces when they slide down the snow runs, or the pick up a snowball to play with. this is most likely one of the reasons I love this annual event soooo much! Every kid that comes down the run, no matter how tired I am I want to ask how it was, or tell them how fast they went, or say something nice. I absolutely adore the smaller kids. They're like little bundles of fun and cuteness, so innocent and ready to be carefree. Helping them around or making them snowballs makes me feel so happy inside, no matter how frozen my bare hands get, how bruised and scraped my knuckles get, or how long i would be standing there helping with the sleds.

To conclude you can very well see that I had a good week, and hopefully it'll only go up from here :). 2010 is already being more fabulous more than 2009, and were only 9 days in. Lets cheer for a new year <3.

Hello my darling readers <3
All this week I have been pretty excited to WELCOME ALL OF YOU to my new and hopefully wonderfully splendid blog!

Oh i have so many lovely ideas for this blog and I hope I can remember them all. I really hate it when you have about a million ideas for something, but it comes at an odd time, so then when it comes time to write or anything, you don't remember a thing. Its a truly horrid phenomenon.
So in my blog The Darling Life, who's name came from the wonderful Ingrid Giselle {my soul sister}, I will blog at least 3 times a week.

The first time will be:
Things I love Thursday~This day will most likely consist of photos and links that amaze me for the week, also trends and more of the fashion side of me {mwuah}

The next time will be:
Weekending on Saturdays~For Saturdays, I will most likely blog about my week, whats going on and all of the jazzy stuff. This day will also come with a week tag. such as today would be 1/10. The first week of 2010!

Then the last sure-fire day will be:
Serendipity Sundays~ A photoblog day. Sunday I post an inspiring picture for the week, and it will be happy thus the name Serendipity Sundays.

So enjoy my new blog, which is still {regrettably} under construction. I need to design with a header for this. You can expect some pastel pink and teal though. I just haven't had the time just yet to do all of it :)
